Stinging insects (wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, bees)
If someone has a severe reaction (breathing difficulty, swelling beyond the sting site, dizziness): call 911. Use an epinephrine auto-injector if prescribed and available.
If the situation is a nest at an entry, garage or high-traffic outdoor area: keep kids and pets away, don't approach the nest, don't spray retail wasp product onto a large ground nest (agitates the colony). Call us — entry-adjacent nests get top triage priority, and wasp nest removal is one of our core services.
Do not: knock a nest down without knowing the species; some wasp species defend aggressively and repeatedly.
Indoor rodents (rats or mice you can see)
Actions right now: remove open food, close doors to the affected room if practical, do not deploy poison indoors (creates dead-in-wall problems and secondary-risk exposure to pets). Note where you saw it and any evidence (droppings, gnaw marks).

Termite evidence at a real-estate closing
Actions right now: pull the closing documents, identify the required inspection window (VA loans commonly 90 days; conventional lenders vary), and gather any existing termite coverage paperwork. Take photos of the evidence (mud tubes, frass, wings).

Spider bite of concern
If widow-like spider bite and symptoms are progressing beyond a local reaction: call Texas Poison Control (1-800-222-1222) or 911; take the spider (or a photo) if you safely can. Brown recluse are established in Texas, but they're also frequently blamed for bites from harmless look-alikes — identification matters (see spiders in East Texas homes).
For the pest side (once medical is handled): call us to locate and treat the harborage; widow webs are typically in undisturbed exterior spots (mailbox undersides, garage door tracks, outdoor storage), while brown recluse hide in undisturbed indoor storage — closets, boxes, attics.
Snake sightings
Spot On does not perform snake removal. For nuisance snake situations in East Texas, contact a licensed wildlife trapper. For venomous species (rare but possible — copperhead, cottonmouth, coral snake) keep clear and call a wildlife professional or, if bitten, call 911.

Can you refer wildlife removal if that's what I need?
Yes — snakes, larger nuisance wildlife (raccoons, opossums, armadillos) fall outside our licensed scope. Call and we'll point you at a licensed East Texas wildlife trapper local to your area.
