Getting Started
How do I get a quote?
Call (936) 632-6464 or request a quote online and we'll take it from there — honest, no-obligation, and no pressure.
How quickly can you come out?
For most homes in Lufkin, Nacogdoches and the surrounding Deep East Texas communities, we can usually get a technician on the property quickly — call and we'll find the first opening that works. Emergencies (active stings, active swarms, a real rodent-in-the-house situation) get top priority; call so we can triage. See our same-week emergency service guide.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, Livingston, Crockett, Trinity and the surrounding Deep East Texas communities across Angelina, Nacogdoches, Polk, Trinity, Houston and San Jacinto counties. Not sure if you're in range? See the full service-area list or give us a call.
What should I do to prepare for my first visit?
Almost nothing. Move pet bowls off the floor, pick up loose kids' toys from around the baseboards, and clear a small path around the perimeter of the home. Your technician will walk the property with you first, then apply the interior and exterior treatments. Most first visits take 45–75 minutes.
Our Service & Guarantee
What if pests come back between visits?
Call us — we'll make it right. We stand behind our work with a 100% satisfaction guarantee on every service we provide. If something isn't right, we come back and fix it. See the full guarantee & warranties page.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
Our SPOTGuard plans are simple monthly programs — ask us about plan terms when you call and we'll walk you through everything in plain English before you commit to anything. See no-contract pest control explained.
What makes Spot On different from the big national companies?
Ownership. Spot On Pest Control is family-owned and operated by the McWilliams family, right here in Lufkin — guided by faith, integrity and compassion. When you call, you reach real people who know your name and your home, not a national call center. See local vs national pest control for the honest side-by-side.
How does your satisfaction guarantee work?
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on every service we provide. If you're not happy with a treatment, we'll come back and make it right at no charge — that's the whole guarantee. See the guarantees page.
Safety, Products & Pets
Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?
We use professional products applied responsibly by trained, licensed technicians (Texas License #805260072) following an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach — meaning we lead with inspection and prevention and use targeted treatments only where they're needed. Most treated interior areas are ready to use once the application dries (usually about 30 minutes). See pet-safe pest control and what we actually spray.
Do you use bait or spray?
Both — because different pests respond to different tactics. Roaches, ants and rodents often respond better to targeted baits placed where they forage; mosquitoes and outdoor barrier work rely on liquid application. We pick the tool based on the pest, not the other way around.
How long should I keep pets off treated areas?
Wait until the treated area is fully dry — usually about 30 minutes for interior treatment and about 30–60 minutes for exterior barrier work. Your technician will tell you exactly what was treated and when it's safe to walk on. For yard mosquito treatments, we time visits so kids and pets can be back outside quickly.
Termites & Specialty Pests
How do I know if I have termites?
The five classic warning signs: mud tubes on the foundation, discarded wings on window sills, hollow-sounding wood, bubbling or blistered paint on trim, and small piles of pellet-like frass under drywood termite entry points. Any of those means: schedule an inspection before treating. See termite warning signs and drywood vs subterranean termite ID.
What termite system do you use?
In Texas, the two words are often used interchangeably in casual conversation — but the contract terms are what matter. A basic warranty typically covers retreatment if termites come back; a termite bond usually also covers some level of repair for future termite damage. Before you sign anything (from us or anyone else), read the retreatment, damage-repair, transferability and renewal terms. Our full guide: termite bond vs warranty explained.
Do you treat mosquitoes and bed bugs?
Yes. Our mosquito control installs a mosquito elimination system and sprays the harborage areas where they rest and breed; fire-ant mound treatment is part of our home pest control coverage. Ask us how mosquito service fits alongside your SPOTGuard plan.
Do you handle rodents?
Yes. Rats and mice in the attic are one of the most common calls we get in Lufkin and Nacogdoches. Our rodent program trap-and-removes the current population first, then physically seals the entry points (called exclusion) — including garage sealing — so nothing gets back in. Trapping alone without exclusion is a temporary win. See rats in the attic.
Plans, Pricing & Payment
How much does pest control cost?
Our SPOTGuard maintenance plans start at $45/month for SPOTGuard Defense, with the termite add-on plan at $69/month and the everything-covered Defense Pro+ at $109/month. One-time and specialty services are quoted for your home before any work starts. For context on what drives the price, see our cost guide. To get a real quote for your address, call (936) 632-6464 or request one online.
Which plan should I pick?
Most East Texas homes fit one of our SPOTGuard plans: (1) SPOTGuard Defense for general pest pressure, (2) Defense + Termite to add a termite colony elimination system, or (3) Defense Pro+ for the fullest coverage. Outdoor add-ons live in Johnnie's Yard Pass. Try our short Plan Finder or call and we'll recommend the right fit.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Our SPOTGuard plans are billed as one simple monthly price, which keeps things affordable without needing traditional financing. For larger one-time work (like an extensive termite treatment or a rodent-exclusion project), give us a call — we'll walk through payment options with you. See the financing page.
