Spot On Pest Control is a family business, and East Texas is our family's home. Here's the work we care about most — the causes behind our mascot, and the community events we show up for every year.
Johnnie on the Spot is our lovable, larger-than-life ladybug — vibrant red and black, with friendly eyes and a wise, comforting smile. He's named after our grandfather Johnnie, our "Pawpaw," who took his own life. For the McWilliams family — Crystal, Tiffany and Trey — the mascot is a way of keeping his memory close while turning a personal tragedy into a powerful force for good.
Guided by their Christian faith, the family travels with Johnnie to neighboring communities to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention — sharing the hope they have in Jesus even in the midst of tragedy. Each year they walk in the local Suicide Awareness Walk, mascot and all, so that other families know they are not alone and that it's okay to ask for help.

From Diboll to Lufkin, [object Object] and the Spot On family show up for the events that make East Texas feel like home.
Spot On sponsors Diboll's holiday-lights contest, running December 8–19 each season. Homes within Diboll city limits put their decorations up by December 8 and keep the lights shining from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Judges score every entry on the Holiday Spirit Meter, Creative Spark and Wow Factor — and the winner takes home $500 courtesy of Spot On Pest Control, plus a festive “Winner” yard sign to proudly display for all of Diboll to admire.
Johnnie on the Spot rides in the Diboll Day parade, and Spot On runs the “Spot the Clue” scavenger hunt for the whole town — most recently giving away $1,000 to the lucky winner, Lori Morris. It's our favorite excuse to spend a day with our neighbors.
Our family walks in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in memory of Mawmaw Maxey. Alzheimer's has touched our family personally, and showing up for the walk each year is one way we honor her and support other East Texas families living with the disease.
You'll find the Spot On photo booth — and Johnnie on the Spot, of course — at the Texas State Forest Festival, taking pictures with kids and families from all over the Piney Woods.
